Shelburne’s Royal Canadian Legion Branch 220 Weekly Update

“Wow, it’s August.   What has happened to our summer?  Congratulations to the big winner from our Super 150 Bingo.  This weekend is another quiet one at the branch and will operate under summer hours.  Thursday August 10th we begin the Heritage Music Festival with The Schooner’s hosting.  Jamaican Jerk will be serving up some authentic Jamaican cuisine.   Wasted Measure will be entertaining along with a Meat Spin and we will have a Dunk booth on the Patio.  All proceeds from the dunk booth will be split between the Legion’s building fund and the Jr. Schooners.   Friday August 11th will be a RED FRIDAY wing night with DJ Rod from Country 105 FM and a possible appearance by Jaydee Bixby (he is on tour and stopping in at Shelburne Legion).  Saturday August 11th breakfast will be served from 9am – 12pm and a BBQ will be from 12 – 4pm.  The Fox and the Fiddle will be performing on the patio from 1 – 5pm, with the Pipe Bands playing after the parade.  Roast Beef Dinner will be served from 5 – 9pm followed by Pub Fare.  The Sean Bourke Band will be the headliner with Visual Negative and The Burne performing.  Sunday August 12th breakfast will be served from 9 – 12pm followed by a good old jamboree in the Club Room, everyone is welcome to come play.  Happy Birthday to all the August Comrades.  We hope you all have a happy and safe holiday weekend,” Legion President, Lesa Peat.
