“Cortnie Peters-McBride’s son, Logan, is a young hockey player who has had a lot to deal with lately and his Wolves Atom Rep Team stepped up for him in a big way. Logan’s Mom wanted to share this experience with The Shelburne Freelancer viewers to help point out to her son that what he did was very special, IT’S THE GOOD STUFF and reminds us how special every day really is. Their story isn’t long, but it’s huge and very, very special and I, Alex Sher am very grateful to share it. Thanks, Logan and your family. Our thoughts are with you, ” Alex Sher.
“I wanted to tell you about my son’s hockey team who did an amazing beautiful thing on Monday October 30. My son Logan Peters lost his 20 year old brother, Addison to suicide on October 23. As a gesture of support and solidarity the team taped their sticks lime green for Logan. Lime green is the colour for mental health awareness. Logan scored a goal and pointed to the sky for his big brother. The Wolves Atom Rep team won 7-1 against Dundalk,” commented Cortnie Peters-McBride adding, ” Logan and I planning a run/walkathon in support of mental health awareness and dedicated to Logan’s brother, Addison. It’s in the works and will take place next October.”
