Charity Starts With Community & Shoes4Shelburne..
“Dr. Magder and his wife Alexandra have been involved in several charitable activities within Shelburne, including helping to raise funds for a Shelburne Splash Pad through Rotary’s Heritage Music Festival, assisting in the promotion and set up each week of the Shelburne Farmer’s Market, raising funds and donations for the food bank, and also kick-starting the #Shoes4Shelburne campaign. #Shoes4Shelburne came from a negative situation that Alexandra and Dr. Richard Magder decided to turn into a positive one. Someone had stolen Richard’s shoes so they thought, someone must have really needed those shoes in order to steal them. Therefore, they started #Shoes4Shelburne where they collected and gathered new and gently used shoes for those who are unable to afford new pairs of shoes. The community of Shelburne was VERY generous and donated over 300 pairs of shoes that went directly to families in Shelburne and to Dufferin Youth Shelter. ”
“In Nov 2017, Shelburne Family Chiropractic expanded and moved to 310 Main Street E. It is a yellow brick house two doors down (if you’re heading towards downtown) from the funeral home. The clinic has turned into Shelburne’s very own All-In-One Wellness Centre with a diverse set of holistic and wellness services now being offered which includes: Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Orthotics, Registered Massage Therapy, Holistic Nutrition, Manual Osteopathy, Naturopathic Doctor.”
