Shelburne Polar plunge for special olympics raises over $19,000.00
Shelburne Police hosted a 2018 Polar Plunge for the Special Olympics on February 19, 2017 (Family Day Monday) as part of Shelbrrr Fest 2018.
PC Jeff Mclean of the Shelburne Police Service organized this fundraising event with what was considered a challenging goal of raising $10,000.00 for Special Olympics. PC Mclean not only reached that goal, but almost doubled it. The Shelburne event raised $19,270.00!
Thanks to the 30+ plungers, the Shelburne Air Cadets, Shelburne and District Fire Department, Dufferin County Paramedic Service, Shelbrrr Fest, the Shelburne Kinsmen, Pete’s Deli, Canadian Bath Bomb Company, Shelburne Family Chiropractic and so many more for their efforts in taking this event a success!
