Shelburne Councillor Steve Anderson Takes Local Kids To Parliament

A very exciting school trip open to Shelburne youths will occur Monday, March 26, 2018 as Shelburne Councillor Steve Anderson takes kids to Parliament!

“Growing up in a tough neighborhood in Toronto, that being the Jane and Finch area and being granted opportunities is what allowed me to overcome my circumstances and achieve success!! Passionate about community activism, I’m a firm believer that political engagement or at least the understanding of our political institutions is a critical learning opportunity for our youths! While living in Toronto, I organized a tour of Queen’s Park for some underprivileged youths and received tremendous feedback from students and staff that attended. Our youths in Shelburne also deserve the opportunity to participate in activities that will likely shape their lives! As a result of my partnership with the schools in the town of Shelburne, I was able to organize the Queen’s Park Tour for our students in town on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 1: 30 p.m-3:00 p.m.  MPP Slyvia Jones and I will be in attendance and will meet our students on the front step of Queen’s Park at 1: 30 p.m to take pictures and to answer questions. I am proud to represent the town of Shelburne and to assist in the development of our youths!”, Councillor Steve Anderson.
