Town Of Shelburne’s Officially Proclaims April 2, 2018, Autism Awareness Day!

During The Shelburne Town Council Meeting held Monday, March 26, 2018, April 2, was officially proclaimed Autism Awareness Day. Raising awareness for those living with Autism took on a life of it’s own as local Grandmother, Deanna Avison made it her mission and thus her legacy to not only raise awareness but fill in financial gaps in the province’s lack of funding for schools to purchase the necessary tools required to ensure the success of students living with Autism.

Partnering up with Megan Young, Manager of Shelburne Golf & Country Club, Avison and Young host an annual charitable fundraising event in support of Autism and the elementary schools in the local area. Each year the event continues to grow in support, popularity, and all funds raised go towards the purchasing of much needed education tools.

Hearts Wide Open For Autism, the charitable fundraising event is held at Shelburne’s beautiful Golf And Country Club, April 7, 2018. If you would like to take part Click here for your tickets. What an exceptionally entertaining evening featuring Murder For Hire, Dinner Theatre Troop and all for such a great cause.
