Shelburne Man Charged With Arson, Mischief, & Theft
In the late evening on March 10th, Shelburne Police were notified by a citizen of smoke coming from behind a building on Industrial Road in Shelburne. Officers checked the area and located two piles of items burning behind an industrial building. The Shelburne and District Fire Department attended and put out the two fires. The investigation confirmed that the fires were deliberately set. The items that were destroyed by the fire were a combination of items located at the back of the building, and items stolen from another property. On Saturday March 31st, the suspect was arrested by Shelburne Police. 19 year old Nathaniel Sparks Diamond was charged with Arson, Mischief, and Theft. The accused was released on a promise to appear and undertaking with a first appearance court date at the Orangeville Court House set for early May to answer to the allegations.
