Shelburne Mayor & Police Chief Weigh In On Weather Safety Concerns

Please be advised that many events and scheduled meetings have been cancelled. Call ahead and stay safe!

“Good morning. Well, we made it through the weekend relatively unscathed.  Public works staff worked all weekend trying to keep sidewalks and roads clear with limited staff.  I’m confident that our public works team will have us ship shape in good time today. I would anticipate some minor flooding, wet basements etc.  The catch basins will be blocked with ice and the water will have nowhere to go. If residents notice something unordinary, please notify the town hall so we can respond appropriately. Just a couple more days for Mother Nature to get her act together, a beautiful weekend is in the forecast, ” commented Shelburne Mayor Bennington. For more information contact:

“Right now we are just dealing with slippery road conditions and hoping the freezing rain doesn’t end up causing damage to trees and hydro wires resulting in power outages.  Again we are encouraging people to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary, ” commented Shelburne Police Chief, Kent Moore.  For more information contact:
