Shelburne Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 220 President, Lesa Peat Re-Elected For Fifth Term!

“Thank you to all of those that came to our Elections last Tuesday.  I am happy to say that I was elected to be the President of Branch 220 for my 5th term.  Congratulations to Bruce Wright, our new 1st Vice President, Ross Warman as Past President as well as Dave MacIntyre and Linda Orvis for being elected as Executive.

Sorry for any inconvenience this week while the handicap doors get installed and the spray foam insulation is being done.  Thank you to the Scouts for sweeping our parking lots.

I have been working with the Rotary and the Town of Shelburne the past few months regarding Street Festival and Heritage Music Festival.  We will be working on a Patio license for both events and will let you all know the Legions plans as soon as they are finalized.  Please come join us on Red Friday Wings May 4th.  Camp Fire Poet’s are back by popular demand to entertain us.  Wings are served from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m.  Entertainment begins at 8 pm.

May 13th is Mother’s Day.  Bring your Mother to the branch for breakfast, carnation will be given to the first 75 Ladies provided by Petals. Breakfast is served from 9 a.m – 12 p.m.

Volunteers are a very large part of the Legion, without our Volunteers we would not be able to do things like wings, bingo or breakfast etc.   If you are interested in being a Volunteer please contact us at 519- 925-3800.  Students are more than welcome to get their community service hours threw the Legion.  Good luck to the Ladies who will be running for a position with The Ladies Auxiliary on May 8th.  Happy Birthday to all of our May comrades,” Shelburne Royal Canadian Legion President, Lesa Peat.
