Councillor Steve Anderson To Present First Annual Tom Egan Award June 1, 2018

Shelburne Town Councillor, Steve Anderson makes good on a promise. Having replaced well loved and highly respected Town Councillor,  Tom Egan following his passing, Anderson approached Council with a way to honor Egan’s memory in a heartfelt way that would span the test of time.

“During my appointment process in October of 2017, I had promised the Egan family that I would work hard to fill the big shoes left behind and that I would honor his memory and dedication to our community by establishing the Councillor Egan Community Service Award. Councillor Tom Egan dedicated his time and energy to representing all of our residents! It was only natural for me that such an award be established. After consultation with the family, I am happy to say that I have kept my promise and this prestigious award will be given to a deserving student at the Centre Dufferin High School on June 1, 2018 at 1 p.m.  I am proud to be a member of this community and I am equally proud to have help in a small way honor the memory of a man who was loved my many!, ” Shelburne Town Councillor.  Steve Anderson.
