First Delegation who addressed Council presented their passionate case for the hopeful future banning of all plastic shopping bags. Climate Change Action of Dufferin Caledon shared their insightful view regarding the world, pollution, the effects of plastics on the environment and hope that one day people will be using non-harmful, recycled, and natural product moving forward. Coucil Will be looking into a By-law considering the banning of the use of plastic bags in Shelburne. Here’s is what they had to say.
The second Delegation was spearheaded by Shelburne resident, Karen Cole who addressed concerns over Council possibly not doing their due diligence when considering a proposal for a Cannabis Plant Facility in the Town of Shelburne. Making several good points which included a power point presentation, Cole was able to also speak with those behind the proposal and ask further questions directed to Steve Wever, Shelburne Town Planner. Fair to say that Cole’s concerns were addressed and answered sufficiently satisfying Cole.
Following Karen Cole’s presentation, a presentation from Town Planner, Steve Wever (below)was followed by questions from Council and the Public. Council carried a motion to aapprove the site plan applications of the Cannabis Plant Proposal.
