Municipal Candidates Took Hard Questions During Open Mike Forum Hosted by The Shelburne Legion Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Video included.

During the Open Mike Forum held at the Shelburne Royal Canadian Legion Branch 220, Candidates both introduced themselves and took poignant, difficult, and sometimes challenging questions from the audience of Shelburnites dealing with a variety of issues. Moderator, Shelburnite, Mike Fazackerley, guided the evening through questions ranging from, affordable housing, bypass potentials, developers who should build for seniors looking to downsize but still be homeowners, Shelburne Police issues, bylaws for cannabis users, why candidates moved to Shelburne, and how new council will look to helping address and culminate Shelburne’s multicultural issues into a situation that will bind Shelburnites together as one wonderfully appreciated diverse community. Fascinating evening that was well attended, even though event organizers and sponsors alike wish the event could have drawn larger numbers. the event was sponsored by The Shelburne Freelancer and The Shelburne Free Press. Notably Country 105 also participated in spreading the word for the event.
