Held on the weekend of September 28, 2018, Savour Shelburne brought local businesses and the community together for their third annual event.
“The Savour Shelburne committee would like to thank the community for coming out to the third annual Savour Shelburne, a part of Culture Days, event. Fun was had by all who attended the events at various locations in our downtown core. We would like to take the time to also thank all of the wonderful businesses that participated and opened their doors for our community. The weather was a little wet on Friday night but was absolutely beautiful for Saturday. This allowed four chalk-on-the-walk to take place. Creative works of art were displayed in front of Royal LePage. The Public Library, The Duffy (Dufferin Public House), Town Hall and Jelly Craft Bakery were alive with the sounds of laughter and conversation. Watercolour painting with Robert Allen at Lyn Grant Financial, Sit n Knit at Wool & Silk, music and samples from Shine Bakery at Healthy Cravings, drums at Grounded Roots were also part of the festivities. Caravaggio Drugs had a good turnout for the bean bag toss and essential oils, and some of our more motivated residents went to dance class at Turn it Out and tried out Cardio at Shelburne Family Fitness. The original childrens’ short stories were exciting to read. The winners will be announced shortly. We would like to take this time to extend an invitation to all of those who were not able to participate to mark their calendars for next year. Thank you once again for a wonderful event,” Sharon Grant.
