During Monday, April 8, 2019 Council meeting, Council addressed concerns that had been expressed from the public and especially over social media regarding liability insurance the town expects from vendors who attend public events. CAO Denyse Morrissey explained that while some of these already in place policies may not have been enforced in the past, they will be enforced and expected moving forward. Other communities also request liability insurance which does vary depending on the type of vendor, but there will not be an expectation for volunteers to acquire liability insurance. Council even had a couple of suggestions regarding where to acquire insurance, but these were just suggestions.
