Bread Depot Owner, Grant Oldrieve (above) is a businessman with a strong work ethic. With Oldrieve’s newest location right here on Shelburne’s Main Street, on the Corner of Main St. and Victoria, the ideal location is being well received by Shelburnites. Open Wednesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. -6 p.m. and Fridays until 7 p.m., Oldrieve is already making plans to hopefully increase hours this upcoming November when he brings in authentic, Italian, Calabrese breads, buns and Cannoli. The Bread Depot’s first location was in Owen Sound in 2015 and has continued to grow to six locations including Shelburne, located in Port Elgin, Wiarton, Hanover, Mount Forest. Oldrieve is very proud of his newest venture in Shelburne and when asked why he is working in his store instead of having staff, his poignant response might surprise, commenting, “I like to get to know the customers, it’s important to me to see how things are going. During our first week, we had a hundred customers, during the second week, 200, and during our third week, we’re close to 300. Our goal is to reach 1000 in order to server Shelburne better. Our Motto is ,”Little Guy Fighting Back, One Loaf At A Time!” With a variety of breads, and novelty items like pickled eggs, nuts and treats, The Bread Depot is a wonderful new addition to Shelburne’s downtown core. Welcome Bread Depot!
